Our bed & breakfast guests LOVE these mouth watering truffles.
With only four simple ingredients you can be enjoying these at home with your sweetheart.
- 8oz. Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- Dutch Processed Powdered Baking Cocoa
- Melting chocolate for Truffle
Measure chocolate chips & put into a small mixing bowl. Heat heavy whipping cream in saucepan until you see the first bubbles of a simmer.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour heavy cream mixture over the chocolate chips stirring quickly and constantly until melted.
Pour into a shallow glass dish, cover with plastic wrap. Press plastic wrap onto the top of chocolate mixture to remove air and prevent a film. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.
Put approximately 1/2 cup Cocoa powder in a bowl. Remove truffle mixture from refrigerator.
Use a melon baller to scoop truffles, hand roll into balls and roll through the cocoa powder, then plate. We cover with small domes and display as you see here. When our guests order truffles they open the door to their guest room and find a plate like this on their private table for two for them to enjoy anytime during their vacation.
