Vintage & Blueberry Festival

Friday August 12th and Saturday August 13th, downtown Grandville will be filled with classic cars, vintage vendors, and all things blueberry. The fun starts Friday at 4pm and takes place on Chicago Drive between Wilson and Washington, just a short walk from Prairieside! Enjoy carnival games, vintage vendors, and lots of great food. There will be fresh barbecue and hundreds of blueberry dishes. There’s always something for everyone to enjoy…don’t miss the fresh blueberry pies OR the World War II airplanes that will be flying over at 7pm!         After a relaxing stroll through the vendor booths, there will be a fun classic car show on Friday from 6pm until 8pm. The proceeds from the car show will benefit Great Lakes Burn Camp, an uplifting and educational experience for children who survived burn injuries. From 6-9pm, you can also enjoy the retro tunes of local musicians Tami and the Tri-Tones! After the car show, make sure to grab some delicious snacks or a slice blueberry pie, and head over to the outdoor movie. Get ready for some laughs, because this year’s film is Zootopia!         Saturday the fun starts all over again at 10am, with the same great vintage vendors and great food. You won’t want to miss Maciek the magician at 11am, the vintage fire trucks along with the vintage vendors that will be around! Check out the bingo tent, dunk tank, games and photo booth for even more fun!  Attendee’s can create tie-dye tee shirts and visit a petting zoo from 11am to 3pm.  Other events include the Library Bake-off at 1:30, juggler Mat Emerick at 2pm and pie eating at 3pm         No matter when you make it out to the Grandville Vintage and Blueberry fest, you’re bound to have a great time. Since it’s so close to Prairieside, feel free to wander back and forth. Enjoy the festival together, then come back to relax in our lovely pool or in the privacy of your luxury guest suite.
