Heritage Hill Historic Home Tour in May
The tour will allow you to see seven beautiful, century old historically significant homes in this vibrant neighborhood. Plus two public buildings – the Custer Alumni House, recently restored by Grand Rapids Community College and the historic Calkins Law Office are also included in the tour.
You’ll experience a Shingle Style Victorian, a Georgian Revival which is newly renovated. A
transformed American Craftsman Style home with artistic interior redesign, while a brick Tudor retains its original classic beauty and has breathtaking views of Grand Rapids. You will also be able to tour three public buildings, including a Frank Lloyd Wright building, and the Calkins Law Office—the oldest remaining structure in the city! Enjoy a variety of historic architecture, unique decorating styles, and lush gardens.
Tickets range from $10-$18 and can be purchased in advance. Tour homes may be seen in any
order and a guide will be awaiting you at each site to share highlights and the home’s story with you. The ticket price is a steal for all the gorgeous architecture you’ll be able to see. Proceeds from the event go to the Heritage Hill Association, which supports the historic preservation of the beautiful neighborhood.
