At Prairieside Suites we believe in letting you create your own experience! So when it comes to breakfast we have three options for you to choose from.

Option 1:

Everyday we serve a full hot candle light breakfast in our dining room @ 9:30 where guests can come together, enjoy conversation and great food.

Option 2:

We can deliver two full hot breakfasts to your room for you to enjoy privately at your table in your room @ 10am [for a $15.00 room service fee].

Option 3:

We’ll pack your “IN” room refrigerator with a deluxe continental breakfast of Juice, yogurt, muffins, fruit, cereal/milk and hard boiled eggs so you can snuggle, sleep late and eat whenever you like in the privacy of your room.

Breakfast is customized to suit individual needs. In order to provide you with the optimum dining experience, information regarding any food allergies you may have and your preferences in vegetables will be requested when you reserve your room. A full breakfast might consist of fresh fruit, juice & muffins, followed by French toast with homemade strawberry sauce, and deluxe eggs (veggies/ham/cheese) with salsa on the side plus your choice of coffee, tea or our homemade hot cocoa. Each morning is a delight!

Your Deposit

1st night's deposit (including tax) is required to secure your reservation by credit card. Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. Additional persons are $15/night. Two-night weekend & holiday minimum unless it is within 4 days from your reservation date and we have availability. Two-night minimum stay is required for 3 of our 5 rooms on Saturday night ONLY [unless it is within 4 days from your reservation date and we have availability]. This can be Friday/Saturday or a Saturday/Sunday stay. All minimum stays must be in the same room. One night stays are available in ALL ROOMS on Friday, Sunday and weekdays.

Cancellation Policy

Move Reservation Request for Guest Rooms:

At least “10 Days” prior to your scheduled arrival date E-mail cheri@prairieside.com with your “NEW” arrival date [we don’t accept phone calls because we need a valid paper trail]. Your new reservation must be for the same duration as your original reservation and must be paid in full before moving your reservation. You’ll receive credit for all payments minus a $20.00 processing fee. If you can’t give us a new arrival date, we’ll issue a “Prairieside Gift Certificate” which is valid for 5 years and can be used by you or gifted to whomever you wish.

If your cancellation is received less than 10 days before your arrival, you are responsible for all room charges unless the room can be re-rented for the entire reservation. No-shows are charged for full reservation. No refunds for cancellations or early departure.

Concerned about Cancelling?

When you book online you have the option to include travel insurance to protect you in case it becomes necessary to cancel at the last minute. It is our intention to make your stay a memorable one and these terms are necessary for the successful management of our small inn, devoted to you, our guests.

Cancellation Policy for Meeting Rooms/Parties/Events:

Your deposit minus a $50 processing fee is credited toward your next event or stay if cancellation is received 30 days prior to your arrival. If your reservation for your meeting/party or event is canceled less than 30 days prior to your arrival you will forfeit the meeting room deposit. Any guest suites that are reserved with your meeting/party or event will be handled in accordance with our stated policy above.

Candle Safety

We ask that you exercise extreme care when burning candles purchased from our gift area.

o DO NOT bring your own candles to burn. We are concerned about smoke damage from use of poor quality candles. We request that you purchase candles from our gift area.
o Keep the glass flues in place for safety
o DO NOT move the candle holders from original location
o DO NOT sleep with candles burning
o You will be charged for any candle wax damage from improper use of candles or scorched surfaces

Traveling with Children

At Prairieside Suites we have the following suggestions:

o OPTION 1: Get a Room with a Comfy Couch. The Tuscan Villa has a couch that could accommodate one child [adds $15.00 to room charge].

o OPTION 2: Get our Rooms with an Adjoining Interior Door! It also has an adjoining interior door than can be [locked or unlocked] with the English Cottage. So if you book both the “Tuscan Villa & English Cottage” suites then the children could be next to you [they will share a king size bed] and you will have two bathrooms, TV’s, etc. So you would have the privacy of having two complete bedroom suites together on the North end of the house.

o OPTION 3: Choose the Southern Mansion Family Suite! [Call to Book]Right next to the “Southern Mansion” suite is another separate bedroom with a twin daybed and trundle [you have two twin beds for sleeping]. The “Southern Mansion Family Suite” gives you the privacy of having two separate bedrooms for sleeping [on the South end of the house] but the kids would be watching TV in your room and using your bathroom. Choosing the “Southern Mansion Family Suite” adds $69.00 per night to the price of the “Southern Mansion”. This room can also be a great “Girlfriends Get Away” suite, remember we are only 3 minutes from the largest regional mall in Michigan, so plan a “shop till you drop” weekend!

Traveling with a Baby

Let us keep you from hauling half your house with you. We can add “The Baby Package” to our Southern Mansion which located by itself on the South end of the B&B. There is a one time set-up charge of $49.00.

"The Baby Package" includes setting up all your baby needs with the following:

o A Pack 'n Play
o Travel Swing
o Changing Pad
o Baby Monitor

You may still use the “Southern Mansion Family Suite” [see above for details] so the baby can sleep in a separate bedroom which gives you the privacy to whirlpool and watch TV without disturbing your little one. Both rooms are located side by side on the South end of the house. If you’re wondering…hey in OPTION #3 above, the Family Suite cost $69 per night and now it’s only a one-time fee of $49? That's right - we have discounted the price because you won’t be needing or using the twin beds that are in there.
