Sept/Oct is for Art Prize
Artists from 21 countries and 44 states will have their art on exhibit in Grand Rapids for ArtPrize. It's a "Don't Miss" event where people from all over the world gather together in downtown Grand Rapids every year the last week in September and the first week in October. This event has had tremendous success since it began in 2009 and the top prize is $200,000 !

Gilda's Club (a free cancer and grief support community) started LaughFest, the nation’s first-ever community-wide festival of laughter "to celebrate laughter for the health of it." The ten-day festival takes place in Grand Rapids featuring stand-up, improv, film, authors, community showcases, and tons of other seriously funny stuff.
April is for Art & Chocolate Walk
At least in downtown Grandville it is and you won’t want to miss this annual event. It features fabulous art pieces from students of over a dozen area schools, showcased at 20 fantastic venues all within a short one block stroll from Prairieside Suites Luxury B&B.
